Head Coach: BEN BIEFNES
A native of Aurora, Colo., Ben has been a part of the Mile High Swim League as a swimmer and assistant coach for the Chapparal Sharks. He attended Texas Christian University where he was a four-year letter winner on the swimming team and part of a 2010 Mountain West Conference dual-meet championship team. He was also the 2010 Texas Christian “Scholar-Athlete of the Year.”
He graduated in 2010 with a double major in communication and psychology, and he is currently pursuing his master's in education at Carthage Collage. Ben has just completed his first year as a graduate assistant coach for the men’s swim team at Carthage Collage in 2010-11.
Assistant Coach: JORDAN ALLEN
Jordan is retuning to the Sharks this year as an assistant coach. She has been a member of the Smoky Hill Sharks and other competitive swim teams around the Metro area. Jordan is completing her freshman year at Metro State College. Her interest in education, a direction she pursued after being a swimmer coach for the Sharks. She loves seeing kids accomplish something after she has instructed them.
Assistant Coach: JILLIAN TAYLOR
Jillian is returning to the Sharks this year. Jillian graduated from Eaglecrest High School, where she swam all four years and was the captain of the team her senior year. She current a Physical Education teacher at a Cherry Creek Middle School, and also coaches the Eaglecrest High School Swim team.
Jillian swam with the Sharks for six years and started her coaching career as one of our swimmer coaches. We are excited to have her back with us this year, and she is thrilled with the opportunity to be coaching the Sharks again!
